Matt's Story
In 2018 my life was forever changed when I was injured in a mountain bike accident in Aspen, CO. I was an incomplete quadriplegic with only the ability to twitch my thumb. After immediate spine surgery and 8 days in an ICU, I was transfered to Craig Hospital for the long road of rehabilitation.
Craig Hospital was a game-changer for me. I learned to feed myself again there, I learned how to walk again there. I learned how to work harder than I ever had, sometimes with little or nothing to show for it. I learned how Craig, like life, is all about the village. Its about people helping people, with only the best in mind.
Lastly, I learned how to think about my rehabilitation from a wholistic approach: Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I could not be more thankful and proud to be a graduate for Craig and to help them with their mission.
